House Arrest

It's the second day of the Chinese New Year and all the shops are closed, from the library to places for commerical sex, thus leaving me with no choice but to stay at home, read my library comic book and bake!

Here's my attempt to do those Jap cream puffs like Papa Beard or is it Beard Papa...

Tastes GREAT but the presentations wasn't that good. Lots of extra remaining custurd filling though...yummy! Remember to grease the foil before putting it in the oven and get a proper bag to squeeze out the dough.

So, what did I do today? Finished reading the X-Men: The End Book 1, gotta remember to return this week. And watched a er...'friendly' DVD Deuce Bigelow, Europeon Gigolow. Funny show, always worth it when you are watching a 'friendly' version, if you know what I mean!

The Waiting Game

So here I am. On leave from work today to wait for the delivery of me new microwave oven. It's now 12.30pm.....supposed to arrive between 2pm and 5pm. Gonna grab lunch now from somewhere downstairs I guess.

Woohoo! It's finally here at 3.15pm! Pretty cool huh? It uses steam too and its big enough to bake a decent cake.

So while waiting, I'm like watching the movie Clifford on cable. It's an old Martin Short comedy from the 80s. Quite funny. Also managed to do a little spring cleaning at the same time while waiting. Y'know there was a guy who got arrested cos he was spotted by some neighbours standing naked every morning by his open window. Now, since my curtains are at the dry cleaners all week last week, I was like naked too and the neighbours could see me, not that i want them to see me, I mean, its the New Year, everyone is sending their curtains to the cleaners! Hahaha...

Ok, weekend's coming...wish me luck, hope to make it through without placing any soccer bets!

Flash Forward to a New Era

Here you go...the first look of the new Flash. Still no word as to who or which Flash that is...Bart or Barry or even Wally's twins?

Anyway, since I'm on the topic of running or walking or feet moving really really fast, tomorrow's the day I'll be seeing me doc at Mt. E on me follow up to the in-grown bigtoe nail operation I had three weeks ago. Holy crap! Still hurts sometimes! I'll still thinking should I post that pix I took of the DREADED TOE? Bwah-ahahahah!!! Hope to be wearing shoes again real soon.

Y'know something, it's always this time of the year that you get this holiday buzz...that window period between the New Year and Chinese New Year. You still got a little Xmas party booze inside yer system and you still wanna party through CNY. Not really in the mood to work, that kinda feeling?

Well anyway, I do feel like that right now. But after that, it's all downhill from there cos there's not gonna be another public holiday till like, a couple of more months in April.

Weekend Wonders!

Lookit that folks! Me blueberry muffins are baking! Got one of them instant Betty Crocker boxes at the supermarket last weekend. Take a good look cos this may damn well be the last thing this here microwave oven will be baking. Come Friday, me new Panasonic NN-J993 inverter steam microwave oven should be arriving!

Ok, made it through this weekend without placing any soccer bets! Wish me luck!

First time for everything

So here we go (again). Hey, what a way to start off a new web site. Here is be (almost) all the bottles of wine I had over the last couple of years at my place. All after dinner, of course.


Awwwww man, this really sucks. Seconds after I took this pix, both me thumbs were ‘taken out of action’ in very painful ways. First right thumb was cut while removing the metal foil wrapping or whatever it’s bloody known as. Then left thumb pretty much had a tiny piece of flesh nearly clamped down and almost removed while I was opening the bottle with the wine-opener. So there I was, never felt soooo removed from my simian ancestors now that I have almost lost the use of me opposable thumbs. Didn’t really enjoy the ice wine after that.
